Unboxing March's Loot Crate: Primal

Things got "Primal" in this March's Loot Crate. Looter's were treated to a host of exclusive collectibles from comics, video games, and film. The franchises included were from some of the biggest ever- Jurassic Park, Overwatch, Predator, and X-Men. I went wild for this month's crate and every item fit into the theme perfectly!

The first item you notice upon opening the box was the exclusive die-cast metal figure from Jada Toys- Logan. There were three possible figures fir this crate- Logan, Old Man Logan, and Raw Adamantium Logan. Having recently seen the 'Logan' film, I would have preferred the Old Man Logan version, but hey, I'm not gonna complain. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of this line, but it is a cool figure and I'm stoked on it.

Next up was an exclusive Overwatch T-shirt featuring Winston's 'Primal Rage' spray. Having never played the game, I'm not familiar with it. Nonetheless, the shirt looks pretty damn cool. The next two item in the box was the monthly pin, which features a claw slashing through a happy face. The pin also unlocks issues #1 & 2 of Valiant's 'Savage' via Comixology.

The fifth item inside was a Jungle Hunter Predator bottle opener (this one was really awesome!). There were two possible variants for this one- Jungle Hunter (Predator) and Gort (Predator 2). The final, and possibly best item in this month's crate was a tin sign from Jurassic World. The warning sign features a velociraptor silhouette and also comes with zip ties for mounting.

Inside this month's crate:

- Logan Metal Figure (Jada Toys)

- Overwatch Winston Primal Rage T-shirt (Loot Crate)

- Savage #'s 1 & 2 (Valiant, Comixology)

- Jurassic World Warning Sign (Factory Entertainment)

- Predator Bottle Opener (Loot Crate)

- Primal Pin (Loot Crate)

Unboxing June's Cosmo-Cube: Predators

Another geeky subscription service, Cosmo-Cube, has just joined the marketplace. With so many monthly boxes to choose from, how can a geek choose just one? It seems impossible, which is why you've seen so many popping up on this blog this month. With my Funko POP! addiction, and Cosmo-Cube's promise of a "Funko or vinyl related item," I had to give this service a shot. The price is just a few dollars above others at $24.95 (shipped), but I'll be damned if it wasn't worth every penny. So how does Cosmo-Cube work? "When you sign up for a subscription, every month from whatever plan you chose you will receive a "Cube" of carefully selected amazing presents and will always include a Funko or vinyl related item, T-Shirt and Poster from the winners of the ArtWork Contest."

This months Cosmo-Cube was packed with some of the coolest items I've ever received in a subscription box. The Funko item was a Dorbz, which is a new line of collectibles Funko has just started releasing. This is my third Dorbz figure after the Marvel Collector Corps Ultron from their May box and Batman from June's Super Geek Box. Also included were items from the Alien franchise and World of Warcraft. The Alien ring is one of the coolest items I've ever received in a box. The tail wraps around your finger, while the Alien's body rests on top. Also included was a mutha-effin' shark tooth! As awesome as this box was, I'm still undecided as to whether or not I should order next month's box, as the theme, "Steampunk," is not exactly my cup of tea. For more info on subscribing, check out Cosmo-Cube's website.
