But how will the Sky Corps Central Command and the cadets themselves handle the fact that Mech Cadet Olivia Park, the teenaged pilot of the Suprarobo Hero Force 2, has become the most powerful person on the planet? Meanwhile, the threat of the Sharg takes on a whole new dimension with a shocking revelation that threatens everything our heroes know about their robos and themselves!

And all of our characters are a bit older and the world has gotten a bit more complex, with some shocking twists and challenges. I'm biased, of course, but it feels vital and real and just as fun as ever, and I can't wait for y'all to see it!”

I’ve missed these characters and can’t wait to dive back into the world and experience the ups and downs that Greg is so wonderful at creating,” said Miyazawa. “The first series was a big test for my skills as an artist and I’m eager to face new artistic challenges and visualize the world once again.”

MECH CADETS features a main cover by series artist Takeshi Miyazawa and Ian Herring, and variant covers by acclaimed artists Sonny Liew (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Junggeun Yoon (Grim).

“It’s an exciting time for Mech Cadets, and while many new fans will be introduced to the amazing and heart-filled world of the Mech Cadets through the animated show this Summer, we wanted to bring Greg and Takeshi’s newest chapter into the world for fans new and old!” said editor Shantel LaRocque.

Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society and Chartoff-Winkler Brings MGM’s CREED Franchise to Comics with Superstar Creative Team at BOOM! Studios

BOOM! Studios, under license by MGM and in collaboration with Michael B. Jordan’s production company, Outlier Society, and Chartoff-Winkler, is proud to announce an upcoming four-issue limited comic book series based on the CREED franchise.

Creed III’s director, producer and star Michael B. Jordan serves as the creative director on the new story. He joins superstar co-writers LaToya Morgan (Dark Blood, AMC’s Walking Dead) and Jai Jamison (Superman & Lois), highly acclaimed artist Wilton Santos (Break Out), colorist DJ Chavis (Lunar Room), and executive producer Elizabeth Raposo, associate producer Christina Raquel of Outlier Society and Chartoff-Winkler to bring the future legacy of the legendary boxer to life within the pages of a comic book for the very first time in June 2023. The announcement comes following the record-breaking theatrical release of MGM’s Creed III.

The CREED comic book series begins ten years after the events of Creed III. Adonis Creed is out of the ring but not out of the game as he trains - along with his manager-wife Bianca - the next champion—his daughter Amara, now an amateur boxer. But with Adonis and Bianca reluctant to pit their daughter against more dangerous opponents, Amara feels like her career is at a standstill, and she’s hungry for more. Amara will have to find another trainer. Someone who’s not afraid of defying Adonis but still knows how to teach her to fight like a Creed. Who’s up for the challenge of training a young boxer to become the next champion fighter?

The first issue features cover art by highly acclaimed artists Mateus Manhanini, Valentine de Landro, Paris Alleyne, and more.

LaToya Morgan has been a writer on Shameless, Parenthood, Complications, Turn: Washington’s Spies, Into the Badlands, and The Walking Dead. She is currently the showrunner and executive producer of the upcoming HBO Max series Duster, which she co-created with JJ Abrams. She’s written several comic books, including the BOOM! Studios best-selling series Dark Blood.

“I couldn’t say no at the opportunity to dive deeper into Adonis’ story–the story of the Creed dynasty. As a super fan of the Rocky and Creed franchises, this is a dream come true! I’m so excited for fellow fans to dive into this comic book goodness,” said Morgan.

Jai is a writer/director based in Los Angeles. He’s currently an Executive Story Editor on Superman & Lois and will direct an episode of season 3. In addition to his television and feature film work, Jai co-wrote Earth Prime: Superman & Lois #2 for DC Comics.

“It’s been the opportunity of a lifetime to play in the sandbox with such an iconic franchise filled with incredible and complex characters. The art I’ve seen from Wilton has blown my mind. And to top it all off, I get to collaborate with my longtime friend and mentor, LaToya. I can’t wait for people to see what we got planned,” said Jamison.

Wilton Santos is an artist and Brazilian native. He has worked on numerous titles for Marvel Comics including Excalibur, Maestro, Star Wars: Age of Republic, and Star Wars: Doctor Aphra. He is also the co-creator of Break Out at Dark Horse Comics. You can find Wilton on Instagram at @__wiltonsantos.

“When I was invited to work on this story, I was beyond excited! Rocky and Creed are so iconic, and some of my favorite films. I hope the fans are just as excited to see what we’ve made,” said Santos.

The upcoming series marks the next release from BOOM! Studios’ eponymous imprint, home to critically acclaimed original series, including BRZRKR by Keanu Reeves, Matt Kindt, and Ron Garney; Something is Killing the Children by James Tynion IV and Werther Dell’Edera; Once & Future by Kieron Gillen and Dan Mora; Eve by Victor LaValle and Jo Mi-Gyeong; The Many Deaths of Laila Starr by Ram V and Filipe Andrade; Wynd by James Tynion IV and Michael Dialynas; Grim by Stephanie Phillips and Flaviano; Briar by Christopher Cantwell and Germán García; Stuff of Nightmares by R.L. He has illustrated several covers for Image Comics including Radiant Black, The Dead Lucky, and No/One.

“Working on Power Rangers is a dream come true! I've been a huge fan of the series since when I was a child and I wish I could tell the Federico of twenty years ago that this day was going to come,” said artist Federico Sabbatini. “Working with Melissa and Meghan was amazing, we are a great team!”

POWER RANGERS UNLIMITED: HYPERFORCE #1 features a standard cover by Keyla Valerio (Power Rangers Unlimited: The Death Ranger), with variants by fan-favorite artists Goñi Montes and InHyuk Lee.
