SPOILER- The Batman Set Photos

Set photos from Matt Reeves’ The Batman’ have been popping up everywhere online today. The following images were pulled via Twitter and Reddit. In them, stunt doubles for Batman and Catwoman are filming scenes on motorcycles. We get a clearer look of Batman’s costume that was teased last week on social media. After seeing these photos, and knowing that it’s early in Batman’s career, it feels like their version of Spider-Man’s homemade suit.

It looks as though the cowl has lenses, but these may just be for filming these riding/chase scenes. We haven’t gotten a super clear definitive look at the cowl yet. If they are part of the costume, I don’t mind them at all. But it is possible they could be CGI’d later. We also don’t see a cape, which for safety reasons, could possibly be added in post production.

Due to my disappointment in the DCEU, I was initially not excited at the prospect of yet another Batman film. But after seeing the recent (but horribly titled) ‘Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn’ and The Joker, and thoroughly enjoying them, I think Warner Bros. may be on the right track.
