Unboxing: Marvel Collector Corps Lucha Libre Edition

The latest Marvel Collector Corps from Amazon has finally arrived! The latest theme is Lucha Libre. The box is designed to look like a wrestling ring, which is really clever. The inside of the box contained three exclusive POP! figures, a POP! keychain, and a sticker set. Unfortunately, the figures are merely variant versions of the already released POP!'s and not totally new figures, which was what I was hoping for.

The first item in the box was an El Animal Indestructible Lucha Libre POP! figure. This figure is a variant version of the wide release Wolverine figure. This one comes in Wolverine's X-Force-themed colors; black and grey. Even though I like it, I actually prefer the original version.

Second up is an exclusive El Venenoide POP! figure. This one also uses the same mold as the wide release. The difference here is that it's a metallic version. Not too exciting.

The third POP! in the box is yet another variant of a widely released figure. This one is (again) a metallic version of El Aracno. I'm a HUGE Spider-Man fan, but this one, like the El Venenoide one, seemed pointless.

Next up was an La Estrella Cosmica POP! keychain. It's also a metallic version and I'm beginning to think that "metallic" is the true theme of the box.

Finally, we get a set of Lucha-themed mask stickers. The masks are themed after Captain America and Thanos. Why Funko didn't make POP! versions of the a Lucha Cap and Thanos for this box, I'll never know. I think it'd be a lot cooler than the lazy versions of the widely released POP!'s we got in this box.

Inside the MCC Lucha Libre Box:

-X-Force Variant Wolverine Lucha Libre POP! Figure

-Metallic Venom Lucha Libre POP! Figure
